The bridal fashion extravaganza showcased the latest and best Pakistani bridal trends by leading fashion designers including Amir Adnan and Yasmin Zaman on the catwalk.
From stunning Lehengas intricately designed to reflect heritage and culture to fresh palettes of pastel colors exuding vibrancy and life, the bridal couture week was one of the most extravagant event in recent times.
Makeup trends were on point with full and thick brows to bold lips and smokey eyes by Nabila. Jewelry designers like Shafaq Habib and Samreen Vance showcased gold plated and sterling silver pieces studded with semi-precious stones.
With showstoppers and models looking regal and elegant, the Hum TV Bridal Couture week was choreographed by former supermodel Vaneeza Ahmed.

DIY Hair Oil Treatment
Experiencing dry, dull or lifeless hair? Well, Hakuna Matata 🙂
Here’s a DIY Hair Oil treatment that has worked for me so I thought of sharing with you all..
– 2 ounces of cold pressed coconut oil
– 2 ounces of olive oil
– 2 ounces of almond oil
– 2 ounces of mustard oil
– 1 ounce of castor oil
– 1 tablespoon of Fenugreek seeds (adds shine, helps prevent dandruff and premature graying)
Boil all the above and let it cool. Store in a airtight container for upto 6 months.
When using, heat a small amount and apply it directly to the scalp and not hair. Massage well and leave it overnight. Wash the following morning with shampoo and conditioner.
I use this twice a week and seen amazing results so far!
Remember, for anything to work you have to be consistent!

7 Tricks From a Makeup Artist to Help You Look Younger | Bright Side
You can hardly find a woman who doesn’t want to stay young and attractive for as long as possible. But wrinkles and other changes don’t mean that beauty is a thing of the past.
We at Bright Side are pretty sure that women can look gorgeous at any age, and we asked a makeup artist to share tricks that will help emphasize your natural beauty and divert attention from the numbers in your passport.
For mature women, it’s desirable to use a fine light-reflecting base. It fills wrinkles with fine shimmering particles and visually smoothes the skin’s texture.
It’s best to use a medium (even closer to light) density foundation to avoid the effect of a mask. Our aim is to smooth the tone, give the skin a velvet texture and a well-groomed look, and hide minor imperfections.
A beautiful and accurate eyebrow shape is a thing of extreme importance because it gives the face a well-cared for look. A pretty arch of the eyebrows and a properly selected color visually opens the eyes and makes the face look fresh. Try to avoid saturated black and gray colors — it’s preferable to use warm and cold-warm shades as they give you a younger look.
The eyelash line
Take a sharp pencil and draw a thin black line right in the top row of eyelashes. Don’t forget that it’s not an eyeliner — it’s a thin line in the eyelashes. It adds depth to the look, as well as expression and density to the eyelashes.
Shadows and sculpting
Apply shadows to the eyelids. On the inner corner of the eye we put a light shade and then a more intense one — for example, pale peach, lilac, pearl-pink, powdery, satin moon. Emphasize the outer corner with dark shadows: chocolate shades, deep rum, grayish-brown, or brown with a purple midtone are perfectly suitable. It’s better to apply dark shadows to the lower third of the eyelid in order not to make it look heavier and not to add age to your face. Don’t forget about face sculpting. We emphasize cheekbones and make them visually smaller.
To make lip makeup last longer, use a professional lip pencil. It’s preferable to not only outline lips but also fill the entire surface with color. If you like gradients (ombré), cover the inner corners with a darker pencil. If you like matte lips, you can leave them as they are.
To create a glossy effect, apply lipstick over the pencil: cover the middle of the lips with a lighter shade and the inner corners with a darker one. That’s how we keep the lip volume and the ombré effect. If you want the effect of wet lips, you can use a drop of transparent lip gloss in the middle.

1 egg white
1 tsp freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tsp sour cream (not fat-free)
1. BEAT the egg white in a glass bowl until it is fluffy.
2. MIX the sour cream with the grapefruit and lemon juice together.
3. ADD the mixture to the egg white then apply it to a clean face.
4. LEAVE it for 15 minutes, then rinse off and dry your face.
Why it works: Lemon and grapefruit are rich in citric acid, AHA, that is a natural exfoliator and also powerful antioxidants. They both promote a smoother, brighter looking skin. This mask is ideal for oily skin.
½ tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp powder milk
1 Tbsp freshly brewed chamomile tea
¼ tsp organic honey
Method: MIX the ingredients in a glass bowl to make a soft paste. Gently massage the paste onto wet skin. Leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse and dry your face.
Why it works: The combination of milk—lactic acid—that exfoliates; chamomile for soothing; and cinnamon, which stimulates the skin.
1 lg organic tomato
2 tsp brown sugar
½ tsp honey
Method: SMOOSH the tomato in a glass bowl, then mix in the brown sugar and honey. Gently massage the mixture on your face and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse and dry your face.
Why it works: Lycopene in tomato is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals; brown sugar is a great exfoliator.
STRAWBERRY FACE PACK
5-6 ripe strawberries
1 Tbsp of olive oil
2 Tbsps of honey
Method: MASH ripe strawberries completely to get a smooth paste. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply to clean face and wash once it dries.
Why it works: Strawberries contain salicyclic acid that helps slough away dead skin cells and makes the skin soft and smooth. It also helps to lighten dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.
AVOCADO FACE MASK
1 ripe Avocado
1 tsp of yoghurt
Few drops of lemon juice
Method: Mix mashed ripe avocado with a teaspoon of yoghurt and few drops of lemon juice. Apply the mixture all over face and wash with cold water after twenty minutes. This face mask can be stored in air tight jar if made in quantity.
Why it works: Rich in potassium, avocado face mask nourishes the skin and helps maintain its glow and health.
