Lawn Diaries – Nishat Linen SS 2016 ( A Wardrobe Affair)

I recall, some 15 years back , mom used to frequent a really small,  unknown shop in the heart of Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad. Lawn wasn’t so big back then and her religious trips to the store didn’t make much sense to me back then. Her standard response used to be, “they make the best quality fabric”.

Fast forward 15 years, and the legacy of Nishat continues with the brand growing stronger each successive year. With  70 outlets in 29 different cities , and international stores in Dubai , Abu Dhabi, Canada , UK & USA , Nishat can be credited for redefining the lawn industry that we know today.

This year too, Nishat’s spring summer collection boasts an extensive range of pret , unstitched 3-piece and loose fabric that is super convenient and affordable for every pocket size. The ready-to-wear Pret range boasts of a wide variety of prints ranging from exotic florals to the Pakistani’s truck art, featuring 100% pure cotton shirts.

What’s lovely to see is a special range of “Scented” dresses this year that uses Chamomile flower extract. The fabric of these shirts has been given a special fragrance finish, containing active micro-capsules that gradually release a fresh Chamomile fragrance. How very feminine !

The 3-piece suits come with chiffon dupattas in charmeuse, crinkle, bemberg and silk giving off the vibe of ultra-feminine silhouettes and fluidity while the 100% cotton shirts and trousers are the perfect fabrics to be worn in the upcoming weather. The loose fabric again is just super convenient so you can buy as much as you want and however you want.

In case you haven’t checked out their collection yet, here’s a look at some pieces:Nishat Linen SS Collection 2016 (1)
